OPI on pinterest !!

So i was just browsing through pinterest having a little brain break from my essay, when i came across this beauty of nail art. I saw this and thought the contrast of both the colours is absolutely amazing. I think this is an amazing style to be sporting for the festive season. These nails would look great on christmas day for all you lucky people who can go out and celebrate on boxing day and new years day.
I love the dip dye effect of the black on the lilac sparkle. This is a definate must for the next time i get my nails done.
I noticed that these had been done with the O.P.I nail varnish, seems to be a great purchase. Anyone out there who had no idea what to do for festive nails this season, get these done!!!!
I cant wait to get my nails done again now.
Post your festive nails this season guys.

Have a great christmas and new year.

Birthday Birthday!!

Hey guys once again this is another long waited post. So i am now home for the christmas holidays. I get the feeling im not going to be blogging much, i have so much work to do along with working extra hours over christmas, fun month for me.
Anyways i thought id show you all my birthday outfit. It was my 21st on Tuesday so i thought i would treat myself to a new outfit (why not it was my birthday after all ).
I absolutely love having my hair like this, i use the babyliss heated rollers. They are the best thing i ever bought, usually i just put them in after ive showered and leave them in for a few hours to give that beautiful curl and volume. I used to curl my hair using GHDs but i found sometimes that can leave the top of my hair looking quite flat. Id definitely recommend these rollers they are fab and so easy to use, just turn them on to heat up, when the red dot turns white they are ready to use. During the day i only use a small amount of hairspray just to keep the curls looking defined. On a night out i do use quite alot of hairspray, its a must on a night out :).
Cream top- Topshop.... Floral skirt- Miss selfridge.

I saw this floral skirt in Miss Selfridge a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with it. I was worried when i bought it as i struggled to find a top to go with it. I ended up wearing the cream swing top i got from Topshop ages ago. I love this top its goes with almost everything, this has been one of the best purchases i have ever made. Im sure you all have that one key piece in your wardrobes that is always there in times of panic.
The skirt i think is absolutely gorgeous, im not usually one for liking floral things but this is so different. I know it may not be some peoples cup of tea but oh well i love it :). I was so happy to be able to get it finally, i almost had a major fit when i walked in and couldnt see it instantly.
I also bought a deep red coloured long sleeve crop top that looks lovely with it. I am debating whether this will be my christmas day outfit or my new black velvet dress. Sadly im working both christmas eve, boxing day and new years day so christmas is going to be my only day to get lovely and dressed up. Never mind :D.

Hope you all love my skirt as much as i do :D.

Have a lovely christmas and a happy new year everyone.

The dip dye is back... vintage winter clothing!!

Hey guys so i decided i couldnt live without my pink dip dye so its back woop... Ive not done it quite as high as last time but i still love it. Im also loving my black hair ribbon i really wanted something different for my hair and i think black ribbon in blonde hair looks great. I literally went to the market and asked for enough to go around my head cost me like 70p cant complain at that.
Hope you guys all like the resurfacing of my dip dye :D.

On another note im really feeling vintage winter cardigans and jumpers this season. Ive always been a fan of vintage clothing but i often find its too pricey and i cant afford it (being a poor student and all), so i got in contact with good old nan to knit me one. A few years ago she knitted me the most beautiful jumper that i still wear to this day so i thought why not ask her to knit me this type of cardy. What do you guys think? would you rather have it now and pay the extra or have a hand knitted garment ?

Hope your all enjoying the run up to christmas, only 25 days left woop :D. That means there are only 25 days until my niece is here!!!.

Fantasy Shopper

Hey everyone so lately i havent really had time to go shopping or the money for that fact but i thought i would show you all an outfit i cant wait to buy when i start my new job yay :D

I am really in love with the new season chelsea style boots. As soon as i get paid these have to be in my life. I also think a maxi dress like this one from topshop, styled with either a leather studded jacket or one like this looks absolutely fabulous. I must say this is going to be my first outfit i purchase for the up coming winter days. With the right accessories a simple look like this can look amazing, i chose to go for a black and gold theme as it gives a rock chic look which is very in this season. When i do buy the items i will blog me wearing them for you all :D

makeup and nail varnish haul!

Hey everyone sorry i haven't blogged for a while been super busy with uni and my participants. I thought id share with you all my a/w make up and nail varnish favourites.
I also wanted to share with you all my new hair... no more pink :D
MUA every lash mascara- superdrug....MUA blonde eyebrow pencil- Superdrug.
This is the first time i have used MUA mascara and i have to say for £3 i cant complain, it gives a great look, especially for someone like me who has very long but pale eyelashes. This really exaggerates every lash and gives a great natural look with no clumps. The eyebrow pencil is also the first one i have used of the MUA line and i have to say i am very impressed, it comes with a brush to even out any stray aways and looks fab.

Rimmel match perfection foundation in fair ivory- Superdrug.... Rimmel stay matte pressed powder- Superdrug... Maybelline dream creamy foundation- Ebay.

I have very freckly skin so i do tend to wear alot of foundation and powders, no one likes to look orange though so i often buy a base foundation ( Rimmel match perfection) in a colour that is too light for my skin, i team that with a slightly darker top foundation ( in this case it is dream creamy foundation by maybelline, i usually use Maybelline dream satin liquid.), i finish it all off with rimmel stay matte powder to take away the shine that foundation can leave. I have very sensitive skin and all of these are perfect for my type of skin, they give good coverage and leave my skin feeling soft.

Barry m nail paint- Superdrug.
I have to say when the Barry M craze began i didn't immediately jump on the band wagon, recently i have found myself slowly acquiring more and more. It all began when i bought a pastel pink nail paint and that progressed. I recently bought these for the A/W season, i love girly pastel colours but i think these look great for Halloween, Christmas and New year. The black multi glitter gives a great coverage and looks fab on a night out. I love the gold glitter with the crackle effect over the top. I havent yet bought a crackle i decided to try the crock effect, i have to honestly say it doesnt look as good as the crackle but it still looks fabulous.

Ill try and keep up to date with my blog guys. See you soon.

Cosy jumpers and cute shorts!

Pink chunky knit jumper- Topshop..... High waisted print shorts- Topshop.... Mini gold casio-ASOS.

So my shorts and jumper are making a re-appearance but this time i matched them together.... I bought them both together as a winter outfit, but haven't actually wore them together yet. I love them together as an outfit, especially at uni its a perfect casual but warm look. Ive got a pair of extra thick black leggings on with these shorts as it is a freezing day.
You all might be confused as to why i am wearing glasses... i always wear glasses but often when i do the pictures for my blog i haven't put them on.
Im currently waiting to start a new job so i can revamp my winter wardrobe with some absolutely beautiful items i have fallen in love with off the high street... Hopefully by the end of the month i will be able to refresh you all with some new styles and clothes :D

Peplum!

Hey everyone so i am completely in love with peplum tops... me and my flat mate went out last night so i thought id show you all my outfit.
Black peplum top with pearl collar- Topshop..... Black riding pant- Coco Boo... Black platform boots- Saints and sinners..... Mini gold casio- ASOS

This isnt the best picture but it shows the whole outfit quite well... I love this peplum top so much, they are so versatile can be worn with jeans, leggings, skirts. It was freezing last night so i wore leggings to keep me nice and toasty. I got these leggings from Coco Boo boutique in preston during my first year of uni, these are another part of my wardrobe i love because they can be worn for any occasion.

Have any of you guys got a piece you love?

OOTD!

Heyy my boy london top is making another reappearance today but styled in a different way to last time.

Boy london oversized t-shirt- Asos.... High waisted pleated skirt- Zara....... Chunky knit tights- H&M.... Pink cross bracelet- *Raspberry grape...... Heart necklace- Tiffany's.

So today i thought id wear my boy london top with my zara skirt... i absolutely love both of these... ive had my zara skirt for a while now its always my go to item if i cant find anything to wear... it goes with almost everything. Im waiting to buy a new boy london top and the boy london skirt that is similar to this.
Personally i think everyone should invest in some chunky knit tights they are the perfect thing to own in the winter..... especially if you live in england.
Have any of you got any go to items for the winter?

Style outside the box !!

Hey everyone... so today i am doing a feature for www.styleoutsidethebox.com. I chose a few of my favourite items to show you guys. These are just a few of my favourites i love almost everything off the site it was so hard to choose.
I love love love this sleeveless blouse, It would be the perfect addition to any outfit be it going out or just going in to town shopping. Id pair this top with a pair of high waisted black skinny jeans and some black chelsea boots.
I have been looking for a top like this for the whole of summer and couldnt find one anywhere... this type of top is perfect for both summer and winter.
Follow the link above and you will be able to see the lovely bow detail on the back of this top along with the other colours that are available. A definate must have for every wardrobe.
Its a bargain at $47.00 thats just £29.14 for those of you in the uk.

As soon as i saw this dress i instantly fell in love with it. The white peterpan collar in lace over the mustard of the dress gives that adorable shabby chic/ vintage touch to the dress. The cut of this dress is perfect for anyone, especially if you are looking to create the illusion of curves, the band at the waist brings the dress in creating that hour glass look that all girls desire.
I would wear this in the summer and the winter... during the summer id team this with a pair of brown leather brogues and an over the shoulder messenger bag. In the winter this can be worn with thick, knitted tights for an elegant, classy look during the day and at night.
If you love peterpan collars as much as i do i would definately purchase this. At $76.50 you cant complain, for those in England thats just £47.42.
So as you all know frienship style bracelets and layering of accessories is a key feature of this seasons A/W style. This bracelet is absolutely perfect for this look, these three all come as one set for $45.00 or £27.87 in the UK. Thats a bargain for such a key accessory, the thick gold bangle adds that bit of class to a casual accessory.
Have a look at the website, theres this and so much more.. to make it even better styleoutsidethebox ship to the UK!!!.

These are just a few of my most favourite items off the site.. Im in love with everything they have to offer.. Many of the items are handmade as it states on the site.
Why not have a look for yourself and grab a bargain... You could be the first of all your friends, family and colleges to have something unique and different to brighten up those wintery days.

For those of you who dont just want clothing and accessories... Styleoutsidethebox.com also sell home/ decor/ mens items/ gifts ( especially with christmas coming up you could find that pefect gift).

Click any of the links throughout this blog and it will take you either to the item or to the site.

Barry M!!

Mini gold casio- ASOS
So i thought id give the crackle effect Barry M nail varnish a go... I went home for the weekend and my mum had bought the gold glitter nail varnish and the crackle effect... i copied what she had done as she was going to a wedding and wanted something different to do with her nails. I have to say i absolutely love love love this effect. I never thought i would but its fabulous. All i did was applied two layers of the gold glitter nail paint by Barry M.... waited for that to dry and applied one layer of the black crackle.
I do love the Barry M products i have a few of the pastel coloured nail paints.... this is a great change to mix up my look.... and it matches my watch :D.
P.S. please excuse how short my nails are... they got quite long so i had to cut them :(

If your like me and are a bit reluctant to try the crackle. I would definitely give it a go :D.

Anniversary

Peterpan collar blouse- Miss selfridge
So yesterday was mine and Joe's one year anniversary woop woop. We went for a lovely meal at Tino's in preston you should all try it, it was absolutely gorgeous.
So this is the outfit i wore to our meal... i teamed this shirt with my high waisted black skinny jeans from asos and my black ballet spiked pumps from topshop. Shirts like these are absolutely perfect for meals out where you want to look classy but casual... I usually wear a white strappy top underneath this because the material is a little bit sheer.
Its one of my most favourite items to wear because it can be worn with almost anything... i sometimes team this with my high waisted black pleated skirt from zara.
Because of the collar and the bow you dont really need to accessorise the neck of this shirt so i just wore my pandora charm bracelet and my mini gold casio watch to accessorise just a little bit. I also added my black and gold clutch bag from River Island just to add that extra bit of class.

OOTD!

Heyy everyone... today is another freezing cold rainy day in preston so i thought i may as well start wearing all my winter clothers. I cant wait to buy some more of the new A/W season!! Im just popping in to town today and i have a few meetings at uni so ive just gone for the most warm, cosy, casual look you could ever find.

Demin shirt- Topshop..... Navy blue chunky knit jumper- ASOS

i wore this with my superdry fleecy boots from BANK.. they are the best boots i have ever bought,... ive had them for a year now and they are still going strong, they have never ever leaked on me either so my feet are always cosy and warm in the winter.
This kind of outfit is perfect for days like today.. i didnt add any accessories to this outfit today apart from my mini gold casio. With an outfit like this there isnt really much need for accessories, a gold spiked chain under the collar of the shirt would have look fabulous.
What are your favorite winter warmers?

Night out!

Hey everyone sorry it has been a couple of days since my last blog... Ive been super busy getting back in to the swing of uni life... oh the joys of work.
So tonight i am going out with a few of my flat mates and thought i would share with you my outfit of the night.
I had an absolute nightmare deciding what to wear... typical girl i hated everything in my wardrobe.

Pink cross bracelet- *Raspberry Grape..... Silver cross chain bracelet- Another of the old vintages i found in my mums jewelry box... White strappy top- Primark..... Pink pleated high waisted skirt- Topshop.

Tonight i just went with quite a simple but girlie look,... This pink skirt from topshop is my all time favorite... when i cant decide what to wear it has never let me down and goes with just about anything. I finished this outfit off with my black lita style boots and pink frilled ankle socks from topshop.
You can never go wrong with a plain white strappy top... they go with just about anything and can be that simple addition to an outfit. I picked this one up for about £3.00 from primark.. cant beat a bargain.

Boy london!!

Boy London oversized tee- Asos..... Mini gold casio- Asos.. Pink cross bracelet- *Raspberry grape

My boy london top finally arrived... i have been waiting for this beauty to come for ages and finally its here woop woop.
I absolutely love this tee... Im not doing much today apart from popping in to town so i teamed this top with my black riding pants and flat studded ballet slippers. The sleeves are longer than they appear in the picture because i rolled them up to give that extra casual look.
Does anyone else love boy london?

OOTD!!

Hey everyone sorry i havent been blogging much recently this past week has been so hectic and a little bit foggy shall we say.. Im all settled in back at uni now and getting back in to the swing of uni life.
Today is my first day back actually in uni so i thought id give you all an outfit of the day.... Its absolutely freezing, horribly windy and rainy here in sunny old Preston ( The second rainiest city in britain may i add), so i thought i would go for comfort and warmth.

Pink chunky knit jumper- Topshop..... Denim shirt- Topshop..... Riding pants- Topshop..... Black flat studded ballet pumps- Topshop.

So basically this whole outfit was from topshop.... what can i say im a tophop kind of girl.
Because its quite cold today i thought i would go for a bit of layering.... this is always the way to go on cold british winter days. You cant see very well in the picture but the leggings i am wearing are black with patent down the sides for that extra bit of style... i love leggings like this because they add that bit of something extra to your everyday leggings. These ones from topshop are really thick and perfect for winter.
Pink is my favorite colour so i love to wear something pink each day, hence the pink dip dyed hair :D
Do you have a favorite colour that must be worn each day?

Shopping!!!

Hey everyone sorry i didnt blog yesterday i had such a hectic day.... I moved back in to halls at uni so i was shifting stuff around all day getting all hot and bothered.. trying to still look fabulous but that never happens does it.
I didnt even have time for a cheeky little update during the evening... I was finally reunited with my boyfriend and two best friends chels and jade!!! woop woop. So as us uni students do best we got dolled up and on got on those drinks.... lets just say it got quite messy and i now have extremely sore feet and and quite tender head. It was such an amazing night though.
As us girls always do.. i currently dont like anything in my closet so i went shopping today :).... Thought id share my purchases with you.
Black peplum top- Topshop.... Flat ballerina slippers- Topshop..... Lita style boots- Saints and sinners.
I just had to treat myself to some new clothes... I was in desperate need of some new ballerina slippers.. i have the same ones above but in white and as you can expect, they are absolutely destroyed so why not buy some new ones :D.
I couldnt resist buying these lita style boots at only £25 !!!! what a bargain... If only i could afford the real Jeffery Campbells... Oh my life i would give my arm for those.

I also bought some boring cleaning items but no one needs to know about those :D

Maybelline pulse perfect mascara!!

So i thought id share with you all this new mascara i tried... I have really sensitive skin and eyes so i have to be careful what i use and over the years i have found that Mac and Maybelline are the only brands i dont have a reaction too.
Usually i go for the Maybelline mascaras that give the false eyelash look and today i thought i would try a different style. I have fair hair so naturally my eyelashes are very light and it is on a very rare occasion when i am spotted without mascara on....even in the gym :D.
I picked this mascara up for abour £3.00 for an ebay seller.... always looking for a bargain.. anyways i thought as it was cheap i may as well give it a try and the verdict.... I absolutely love this mascara!!!
It is quite different to other mascaras as it has a vibrating brush, you hold a button in as your putting it on... the vibrations separate and elongate your eyelashes giving a gorgeous wide eye look. No clumps or anything... its absolutely amazing.
I would definitely recommend you try this product :D

Trip to the zoo !!

Today me and my boyfriend Joe had a trip to Chester zoo.. I was super excited because i've never been before and i have to say it was such an amazing experience.
Please excuse my expression on this picture.. i was acting scared haha, and my hair it was freakishly windy so i ended up pushing it back with a headband to keep it out of my eyes :D.
So this is my the only full picture we got of me today.
It was a lovely sunny day but still quite cool so i went for a summery yet warm look. Once again a blazer smartened up a casual look :).
Blazer- Topshop..... Off the shoulder oversized top- Topshop.... Sky blue skinny jeans- Topshop. Sunglasses- Miss selfridge.
I finished this look off with some converse from Schuch and my brown contrast satchel from River Island.

I just realised that my outfit mainly consisted of topshop items today.. But who doesnt love topshop :D

The giraffe was my favourite of the whole day.. i never realised just how large they are in real life, it was absolutely amazing. I decided i want one as a pet..... sadly i couldnt fit one in the car or my handbag so i had to settle for a keyring :D.
If you have never been to the zoo you definitely have to visit chester zoo, it took me and Joe four hours to get around the whole park and see all the animals ( that was with just one small sandwich break :D ). Its not too pricey either, as a student it was £15.00  each, Joe paid though lucky me :D.

Sorry my post hasn't been much about fashion today i just had to share my experience today with you all.... thats how amazing i thought it was :D.
P.s i have to tell you all i found my way from chester zoo too Formby without any sat nav and from Formby to Wigan without a sat nav, i was very proud when i got home alive :D.
Hope you have all had an amazing day.
Let me know your thoughts if you have been to chester zoo or anywhere similar.
